The Global Youth Summit on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Action for the Summit of the Future took place on September 17, 2024, at 866 United Nations Plaza, New York City. The event, now concluded, brought together youth leaders, diplomats, and civil society representatives to engage in critical discussions about advancing the SDGs and addressing global challenges. Co-hosted by the Youth Association in Sierra Leone (YASIL), WestAfrican Women and Girls Empowerment-Sierra Leone (WAWGE-SL), and the I.B. Taylor-Kamara Foundation (IBTK), the summit was a pivotal moment for young voices to shape actionable outcomes in the lead-up to the Summit of the Future.

International Youth Conference (IYC9),

30 May - 2 June 2024 Los Angeles, California, USA

The 9th International Youth Conference (IYC9), held from May 30 to June 2, 2024, at the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs in Los Angeles, featured impactful participation from the I.B. Taylor-Kamara Foundation (IBTK). Abdoul Byukusenge, IBTK’s Chief Strategist, moderated a session alongside Junissa, the Foundation's President and Executive Director. This session showcased the Foundation’s commitment to addressing Africa's challenges and opportunities. This session fostered robust dialogue and actionable solutions, highlighting IBTK's dedication to empowering young leaders globally.

UN Civil Society Conference, Nairobi, Kenya 

The I.B. Taylor-Kamara Foundation (IBTK) significantly contributed to the 2024 United Nations Civil Society Conference by sponsoring 37 participants, including youth and emerging leaders from diverse regions worldwide. From 5 May to 20 May, IBTK’s comprehensive sponsorship covered all travel and accommodation expenses, enabling these young changemakers to engage in this critical global forum fully.
